In Their Shoes: 10 Mile Challenge
Save the Date: April 21, 2024
Did you know that, on average, people experiencing homelessness walk ten miles per day? To access food, clothing, shelter, and other crucial resources, they often have to visit many different places. Getting access to transportation can be expensive so most of our guests travel on foot. You can support our guests by participating in our third annual In Their Shoes: 10 Mile Challenge on April 21st, 2024.
What is the 10 Mile Challenge
The third Annual In Their Shoes: 10 Mile Challenge is a four week fundraising event that benefits the Central Outreach and Advocacy Center (COAC). For the challenge, participants of all ages, stages and skill levels commit to walking a total of 10 miles at their own pace while reflecting on the distance people experiencing homelessness walk each day.
Celebrate with us on April 21st
This year’s event will kick off on March 24th and conclude on April 21, 2024 when all participants are invited to walk the last mile together at COAC’s headquarters in downtown Atlanta, followed by a celebration.
